Overview
Gallagher is looking to recruit a Property/ Construction Broker to join our team in Zurich. This role will be responsible for liaising between clients and insurance companies to find from our clients the optimal structure for their property insurance cover. The goal is to steadily forge long-term relationships to secure the company’s revenues and growth.
How you'll make an impact
- Handling of property and construction business for our domestic clients
- Markets customer business, typically of higher complexity, to variety of insurance carriers
- Ensures thorough evaluation of qualified companies in the marketplace independently, referring only unusual questions to management
- Prepares insurance marketing strategy in line with overall risk management philosophy of the client
- Identifies and analyses client exposures to recommend and/or design risk transfer/financing products
- Identifies appropriate carriers, sends requests, negotiates favourable quotes and prepares recommendations
- Participates in development of property department policies and procedures and implements them in assigned area
- Applies comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices within a technical or professional field/area to perform expert work within broadly defined limits and authority levels involving highly complex assignments
- Regularly demonstrates specialised technical knowledge and breadth/depth of functional expertise, able to lead the development of insurance wordings
- Works independently, providing specialized knowledge in the resolution of the most complex problems and business issues
- Recognised as an expert in own area, provides technical leadership and guidance to staff members and management
About you
- Proven experience in a similar role in the insurance market
- Must be able to build collaborative and mutually meaningful relationships with internal and external clients.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Proven experience within the Swiss property direct insurance market, acting as broker or underwriter.
- Keen problem-solving skills and solution focused mindset
