Overview
The Partnership Event Marketing Manager is part of the Partnership Marketing team and is responsible for activation and event experiences for a subset of Gallagher’s sports and entertainment partnership portfolio in North America.
We are seeking a meticulous event marketing manager who will be responsible for driving a strategic approach to events, enhancing our organization’s brand and improving client loyalty.
How you'll make an impact
- Run events and hospitality for a subset of accounts, i.e. partners, within Gallagher’s sports and entertainment partnership portfolio.
- Plan, coordinate and execute marketing events, including logistics, budgeting and timelines from start to finish
- Communicate effectively across different divisions and levels of the organization to execute partnership assets
- Negotiate event contracts and work with various vendors in close coordination with marketing leaders and legal, where needed
- Liaise closely with partners, local offices and team members to execute marquee partnership events.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience required.
- In-depth knowledge of the insurance brokerage business.
Highly Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality or related field
- 3-5 years in an event marketing position, preferably in sports marketing or related industry
- 10-20% travel required to meet with partner organizations
- Experience in organizing and completing sports events or large-scale marketing events
- Familiarity with various sports leagues, sports trends & fan behavior a plus
Work Traits:
- Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize projects to meet desired deadlines
- Innovative thinking and the ability to conceptualize events and make recommendations for improvements
- Ability to work independently while being able to establish strong working relationships with a network of internal and external staff
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, sponsors, and partners.
- Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
- Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise during event planning and execution.
- Shown ability to lead and motivate teams, both internal and external, to deliver successful events.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to oversee and manage sports events.
- Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management
- Customer-service orientation
- Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office, Adobe Creative, Smartsheet, Cvent a plus
