Helping Our Communities Face the Future with Confidence
Gallagher colleagues are deeply connected to the communities where we live and work. We support local charities and groups making a real impact.
In the UK, our volunteering policy offers three paid days annually for colleagues to support causes they care about. Since 2022, our partnership with Neighbourly has made it easier to get involved, linking our people directly with community organisations. The response has been outstanding, with more volunteers creating meaningful change across the country.
We support our people when they give back. In the UK, our matched giving programme boosts personal fundraising by up to £700 a year and matches volunteering hours at £10 per hour.
Fundraising has rebounded strongly post-pandemic, with a 125% rise in matched giving applications, 359 colleagues supported 163 charities last year. Since 2023, our partnership with Neighbourly has streamlined all community activity, making it easier to see our collective impact.
We’re pleased to have received our first Bronze Payroll Giving Quality Mark, a reflection of the growing number of colleagues choosing to give back through monthly payroll donations to UK-registered charities. Between 2021 and 2022, we saw a 123% rise in sign-ups. That means more support reaching the causes our people care about, every single month.
